Pennsport Delicatessen & Appetizing for the New Year at Musi in Philadelphia

In December 2021, we teamed up with Chef Ari Miller and his celebrated Philly restaurant Musi to create a New Years Eve menu that honored the Jewish deli and played with the form. The menu featured kneidlach (matzo balls made from fermented challah and crushed matzo), a pretzeled latke served with mustard applesauce, and either goose or root vegetable rillettes, mock chopped liver made from beets served with homemade mandlen, and a homemade cookie tray. The dinner was initially designed as an 8-course tasting menu for indoor seating, but due to COVID it was pared down and made for just delivery and takeout.
